ROY G. BIV

Still remember your youngster days when you fool around stripping.. err destroying things then Mom comes to the rescue, gives you used crayons and a piece of scratch to play with instead?
Yep. I do too.

Still recall Mom teaching you that the primary colors are red, blue, and green?
Then in school you learn that blue and yellow makes green and you wonder for a while who to believe?
Haha. I do too.

How about learning the colors orange, blue, indigo, and violet?
Ever wondered what's the difference between indigo and violet? Guess what- I still do. ;p
And now why do the colors lilac, hot pink, pale blue, warm gray, blood red, olive green, etc. emerged making it an endless battle to memorize all the colors there is while a few years back, a boy named ROY G. BIV was our only code to memorize all the colors of the rainbow.
If only it were that simple.
If ROY G. BIV made up all the colors, then studying art classes is much much easier.
But it is not- it never was.

Ever wondered why life is so complicated?
If there are only yesses and nos as answers to questions, or As and Bs to choose from, it could have been less stressful.
If you are taking an IQ test you get 50% chance that you are correct.
You might now be called a genius.
But that is not how life is.
Sad but true.

Let's just take it this way.
If the only colors were 'roygbiv', then we would not know how to describe how beautiful the purplish sky is at sunset, with its deep sunkist taint that encroaches the soul.
Like Life.
It may be less nerve-wracking if we do not have to think, yet it is in thinking that we are able to argue; It is in arguing that we are able to make a choice; It is in choosing that we are able to stand in our decisions; It is in deciding that we make mistakes; It is in making mistakes that we learn. And the cycle begins again.
This is the reality of living.
But you know what, making real choices like taking a colored crayon perhaps from a 256-color box shouldn't be too much of a deal.
Just know what will make you happy.
Because life is really just about having fun- know what you want and make it happen.

Madness

2:03 AM.
Dang!
I am usually asleep around this time since the last day of school. Had a couple of sleepless nights due to let's say 'reasonable excuses' but not like today, actually since the end of May. I am an official BUM and I hate it, on all possible reasons there is.

This is complete MADNESS.
If I had known job hunting would be this impossible, I could have worked past time while in college. Then, it could have been easier to get in to the same architectural firm you've worked for. I have been to an interview once- and because what I know isn't sufficient enough, I had to step back and make myself much more worthy of the apprenticeship fee. How much is it anyway?

Now I am ready.
Yet all firms seem to have no opening. I've had more confrontations with front desk staff than interviews with the hr department. During these times, I wish I was not that choosy. Maybe now I have a job- a real paying job. Dang!

Anyway. I am still hoping for the best.
I have an examination and interview set on Monday on one of the top firms listed in BCI Asia in year 2005.
Hope it goes really well. I hate bumming around. Makes me think I'm worthless- hey, I'm not! ;p
God has plans for everyone. Mine is just simply unnoticeable this time around.

"Hay.." deep breath.
Everything will be fine.
No screw ups this time.

Cheers to Love!

All little girls had their share of young love. It begins at the moment they see themselves as the prettiest among others in their town because Daddy said so. For 10 more years, these little girls start to realize that someone is still prettier, but Daddy argues with his daughter, "No, you're the prettiest to me." And so the little girls grow up and become even more beautiful, like rays of sunshine, all because Daddy said so...

Every 3rd week of June we girls celebrate why we are most beautiful- because Dad said so ;p...

Animate Life

Hey there! Yes you. ;p

I just discovered this morning how to make animated gifs- have been trying TOO many times and FINALLY it dawned onto me. Stupid Kat. How can I not see something for that long...
...
So here's how I did it. I find it easier and more reliable than having too many programs opened or relying on some internet applications and seeing your files downgraded to lower resolutions. This way, you cannot blame anyone but yourself for poor animation, eh.?? ;p So spend some time to make it nice :D

MAKING .GIFs

Step 1. Open Adobe Photoshop CS3.

Step 2. Open the pictures you like to animate (or convert from .jpg to .gif). Resize the pictures if the files are too large. Usually 200-500 pixels is just okay.

Step 3. Open a new drawing. (Click NEW from the FILE menu bar) Change the pixel size to how you like it. (I use 300 x 300 pixels on all my albums in Multiply)

Step 4. Open the WINDOWS tab in the menu bar, collapse, then click ANIMATION. Animation Frames will open.

Step 5. Drag each picture to the new file you created. (Be sure to center your picture) Then close each picture/ image after dragging.

Step 6. Go to the LAYERS tab (usually on the lower right of the screen) and hide all the layers (pictures) except the one you like to come first in the animation.

Step 7. Go to Animation Frames. Click on the first image. Collapse the arrow down icon to choose the speed of the animation per picture. (I use 0.5 seconds) Then duplicate the first frame to how many your layers are. (Click on the Duplicate icon on the lower portion of Animation Frames)

Step 8. Click on the next frames. Unhide the layer from the LAYERS tab that you want to come next. (Make sure there is only one visible image in each frame)

Step 9. Preview your animation. (Click on the Preview icon)

Step 10. Go to FILE then click on SAVE FOR WEB AND DEVICES.

Step 11. SAVE.

Step 12. Close Photoshop, preview your gif then upload.

Hope I helped. If you have any questions, feel free to message me or leave a comment.
'Till next time.
